It would be great if you could tie in with Dramatists and Sam French to be able to purchase a script from them already formatted to be downloaded into this app…it takes quite a bit of time to scan scripts, but it would be worth repurchasing a virtual copy of any published play…like music on iTunes…that could work with the app…any word on if they are amenable to selling materials ready made for this format, and allowing actors on the go to take their libraries with them easily? Use our time even more efficiently? Please let me know if that’s a feature coming. Saves trees, saves space, saves time, still makes money….and everybody wins…

It is an amazing app! I’m excited to dive in…. I’m already using another app to hold all of my schedules, crew lists, extras breakdowns etc. on my iPad (that lightened my load) and now…. Leaving that big ole script binder in the office is a life saver!!! I understand the reasons for not being able to have a “searchable script” perhaps enough of us that do receive PDFs directly from their program of origin can ban together and force that to become the norm… Then imagine the possibilities!!!! (and oh man am I!) What about searchable notes? Just a thought…. Regardless… Thanks for helping me save on my chiropractor bills! Talk about lighten your load! WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Actually, we have tons of makeup, hair, set dresser, location scouts, wardrobe, propmasters and the like using the app – anyone who needs to tie information to a line or scene in the script, using Rehearsal’s Photo or Video (or Text or Audio) Comments. So we hear you! The problem is that most of the scripts that are sent to actors for auditions and actual on-set work are graphic scans of the scripts, not text-based PDFs, and so aren’t searchable. We had that as one of our original goals, but during the beta tests with SAG actors here in LA, we saw that the vast majority of the scripts were scans, not PDF outputs from FD or celtx, so no words available to search. Know that I’d love to add that in the future.

For right now, I’d like to hear what else you’d like to see in Rehearsal!

This is a great app for actors… But so many crew members would love an app that has features for them too.
I have TONS of ideas…. But let’s begin with making scripts searchable? I’m a prop coordinator and my husbands a Propmaster. We need to search scripts (especially revisions) for key words. What scene does an item play in? -or- I need to see all scenes pertaining to a particular set or character. -and so on…. If we could search scripts, you’d have a whole new batch of buyers…..

If you study scripts the way I do, you can break your script up into scenes – and use the scenes to jump to various points in the script. We are working on a Go To function, though – so we hear you. What does linelearner do that you’d like us to do?

Love this app. For PDF viewing is there a way to be able to book mark a section in the script. Working on a movie script that’s over 100 pages and I only have two scenes. But every time I go back to work on it I have to scroll for a while to find the scenes. They are spread out over the 100+ pages. If there is not a way then maybe that would be an improvement! Smart app though. Really intelligent
