Version 3 will have an "Etch-A-Sketch" type of "shake to erase" - I'm sure that will be helpful. The list is long, so please be patient.

2 suggestions
1) A simple undo. I can get the eraser, and click on what I did, but if it's in the middle of a bunch of other edits, I risk deleting the wrong edit. Just a simple "undo last action"

2) It's very hard to erase very small edits. I have a few small yellow dots from accidental highlights, and I can't seem to click on them with the eraser properly...like I keep missing. The undo would help preventing this, but another type of erase which simple flat out erases anything you swipe over would be handy.

We love that you love this flippin' app!

Pinch/pull to zoom in and make those marks bigger, and erasing should be easier. You might use beat marks in the future - to manage those, simply tap and hold to apply them where you need them, and then tap and hold and move the magnifying lens over existing ones, and when the X appears, release to get rid of them.

ILOVE the multicolored scribble option. Oh, let's be honest; I love this entire flippin' app!) I've been using the scribble option to highlight accented syllables in a Shakespeare script. Now, I'm having trouble erasing these marks, ('highlight erase' is working fine) Help! With thanks aforehand....

The interface has been updated a bit since the original videos were shot (we're going to update those videos once we're done with some upgrades to the app) - you only see the yellow highlighter to start with, but if you tap and hold on the highlighter button, a bar will appear above the button that you can slide up to, then slide over to the color you want. I usually go with yellow (as do most actors I know - no reason, just personal preference), so that's the default. But you can pick whatever color you want.

Just got this app and love it already. I run a small theatre and have shown it to a few actors already.

Your video shows multiple color high- liters but my version only has yellow. How do I get or add different colors?

As you stated, the script scrolling locks on vertical only if any of the highlighters (or the eraser) are engaged. We are looking at different options for the highlighter choices, but I just whizz through the script to get where I need to be (I'm shooting a 120 page feature now, and getting to those final scenes...) and when I get where I need to be, I slow down and correct the placement. You can do that with any of the highlighters. I will tell you we're looking at a "go to page number ###" option as well. So, we have some things in the pipeline that will be helpful.

And I do appreciate the kind words. I had a feeling it would be a long slow path for people to see the value in the app, once all the kiddies were finished bashing us with one-star ratings, when clearly they had no use for Rehearsal, or any idea what it does.

Hello,
Well done on the app, us amateurs are starting to use it over in England and it's a great help.
I have a suggestion for you : I'm not sure if it's just me, but when I go to highlight my script and I go landscape and size the text appropriately, when I scroll through the script it has a tendency to wander off centre. I know I could use a two finger scroll to lock it to the vertical only but who wants to do that all the time?
So my suggestion is to place a 'scroll lock' button on the toolbar to tap once you've got your script to the right magnification. Then you could scroll with much greater ease (my As You Like It is cut down but it still takes a while to scroll from start to end).
You could make room for this button (and others) by combining the highlighters into one option : you know the '.com' button for when you're entering a web address in safari? Know when you tap and hold it gives you other domain options? So your new highlight button : tap to select the current colour highlighter, tap and hold to activate the pop-up and choose a different colour which is then the active highlighter. You wouldn't even need to create any new graphics, only for the 'scroll lock' button, just re-use the current highlighter icons.

.....or not :-)

it's an extremely useful little tool and I congratulate you on it.

One little bug after using the eraser tool, the script seems to lock partially out of view to the left. I was (wrongly) using the eraser to delete a text comment, which I now know how to do correctly I hasten to add. Anyway, it's there.

Cheers for now!
