Re your scanner recommendations…this is much better – simpler, stronger-more robust and easy to use software including Acrobat. Fuji Scansnap 1500M for Mac Users or just 1500 for PCs.

If I’m understanding you correctly, I’d simply re-scan it and add it again. Review the scanning tips in the FAQ:

To work with a physical script, burst your script (remove the staples or grommets from the pages) and then scan the pages of your script IN NUMERICAL ORDER on the scanner at 100 to 150 dots per inch (DPI) – no more than that. I use the Neat Scanner (available in the Rehearsal store) – it works like a charm straight to PDF.

Scan the script ONE PAGE AT A TIME (not double truck – separate the pages so that they are by themselves if you’re scanning a folio-type play with pages that are side by side), saving the resulting scan as a multipage PDF file. Any scanner should be able to accomplish this for you. Keep all pages at Letter size – this is very important.

Center the pages for each single page scan, and don’t try any fancy cropping or trimming tricks with the scanning software – let Rehearsal pinch and pull to size your script from the original 8 1/2 x 11 or A4.

If you’re using Rehearsal on an iPhone, you can also snap a photo of the individual pages with another app called Scanner Pro and save those pages as one PDF.

We suggest you only scan or photograph the scenes in which you have lines, reading the entire play from the hard copy, but rehearsing only from sides you need. Then, simply email the PDF to your assigned “script+” Rehearsal email address.

Hi – love the app & just bought the update, but I’m having trouble with a script I just added. It is rotated wrongly, & my iPhone won’t let it rotate to face the right way up, no matter how I turn it. Now that I have forwarded the script to you & added it to Rehearsal, it is only displaying a sliver of the page. Any suggestions?

Rehearsal 2 has improved stylus writing in Scribble mode – write to me and tell me your experiences with it. We are working on a number of things, including a meta-file format for being able to transfer marked-up files to different devices.

Hi David. Love the improvements. 2 questions. 1) any progress on stylus writing on scripts? 2) any way to back up / transfer notes etc that I have added to scripts to the new app? I use the app to add blocking and wo der if there is back up feature or a way to transcfer? If not… The idea fir the future.

Have you tried “Forgot my password” to send yourself a new password? Be sure to look at the new password email on the device you’re using Rehearsal on, and cut and paste the random password from the email that’s sent. Then, change the password to what you want. If that doesn’t work, try uninstalling and re-installing the app, and if that fails, create a new account using a different username and password choice. I’m not able to tell why it’s not working, but yours is an isolated incident, so it may be a simple solution. I’m going to check your account for any anomalies, and mail you privately if there are.

Hey David,
I am also thrilled to get to use this program, but I still have problems login into my existing account – and I don’t have a jailbroken iPhone . Username and Password are correct, but nevertheless it shows me: “Login Error. There was a problem logging in. Username or password is invalid.”
What can I do being able to use this wonderful app?

This generally indicates a jailbroken iPhone.
