This is actually great news – use the Print to PDF function from Word, and print or save to a PDF with no changes. Then forward it. The only issues are if the author got “creative” with his/her formatting and it wasn’t to US/UK screenplay standards.

On Macintosh, choosing Print, then instead of printing, just using the PDF option in the Macintosh print dialog works perfectly.

On Windows, Save as PDF from the File menu. If you need the Office Add-in to do this (windows only), it’s here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=7

Hi David,

I’m not scanning the script. The author type the script in a word doc and send it to all of us. I’ve tried the two option: send it .doc and .pdf. Do I have to save the word doc with different specification?

Check out the user manual page on scanning – it’s usually due to low DPI on scanning. If you scanned it yourself, try 150 DPI – no need for anything higher or lower.

Hi David,

When I click on “add new scripts” and open my script I’ve just sent by e-mail the text is perfect. However, when I open the same script, but now clicking on “my script” it seems to be out of focus. Why this is happenning? How can I fix that?!

I don’t know why it might all of a sudden be doing this, but I’d try rebooting my iPhone or iPad and see if the problem goes away.

My rehearsal has been working very well for me. I have about 10 sketches/ scenes happening for line learning. Just opened it today to rehearse and it is very sluggish with bringing up each scene. Previously it had been almost instant now it is very slow. Can you think why this might have happened. My iphone is only using 8 out of 14 gig.

Absolutely. As with all apps purchased in the App Store, your apps are available to you at no extra charge on up to five devices. But please note, any markup you perform with a script on one device is independent of any markup you do on that same script on any other device.

I’m not clear by the sentence you wrote what you’re saying – can you be more specific? Are you saying that the PDF files you imported are incomplete? That “not all” of the mark-ups added before scanning show up? Or did you mean “none” of the mark-ups are seen? Or are you saying that the CD is trying to make notes on one device and you’re not seeing them on yours?
