Make money referring people to Rehearsal!

Want to make money telling other actors about Rehearsal? It’s easy. Here’s the step-by-step way to become an Official Rehearsal the App Affiliate:

First step: If you’re not already a member, join LinkShare now – that’s who administers our referral plan.

Then, search the list of advertisers for the phrase “iTunes”, and apply for Apple’s iTunes and App Store referral program (Linkshare administers referral programs for lots of advertisers – including themselves, so you might want to join Linkshare’s plan as well) – once that’s accomplished, there will be a bit of a waiting period while you’re approved (a couple of days at the most, sometimes sooner). Once you’ve received word that Apple’s approved you for their particular program, come back here for further instructions.

Second step: Once you’re all signed up with Linkshare and with Apple’s iTunes and App Store as an affiliate, you’re all set to be an affiliate for Rehearsal. All you have to do now is create the link that you’ll use when you tell friends about Rehearsal. To create a link that will earn you 5% ($1.00) on every copy of Rehearsal your friends purchase from the iTunes App Store, go to this page on Linkshare – it’s their Deep Links page:

(Deep links are links to individual products in a particular advertiser’s store, not the store itself. But don’t worry – one of the bonuses of Apple’s particular program is that if someone you referred to their store buys anything else in addition to Rehearsal within 24 hours, you get an affiliate payment on that purchase as well!)

Third step: Once you’re on the Deep Links page, do the following:

– From the Advertiser drop down menu, choose iTunes & App Store
– Click on Single Link
– Copy this link and paste it into the URL: text box:

– For Output Format: choose Text Link
– In the Text Link box, type something along the lines of Get Rehearsal 2 now! or whatever you want your text link to say.
– Check the Open link In a new window box – that will open the link in a new browser window, leaving your window open behind it when the user clicks on your link.
– Don’t put anything in the U1 text box
– Finally, click on the Create Link button and your custom, personalized link code will appear in a box below your selections. Copy and paste that code into any web page or email that you’d like to send out to other actors that you know. Save it in a text file for future use.

When those recipients click on your link, the link will take them to Rehearsal’s page on the iTunes site, or, if they have iTunes already installed on their computer, directly to Rehearsal’s page in the App store. When they buy it, Apple gives you credit for bringing them to the App store, and they pay you 5% for each sale online. You then get paid by Linkshare every month.

You can put this code on web pages, in emails, and it appears just like any other text link – and if you want to get fancy, you can choose to create other types of links that include graphics and other rich media – explore your page on Linkshare and see what’s possible.
